About Bowforth

The barn is situated in a very peaceful location in Ryedale, close to both the Howardian and Hambleton Hills of North Yorkshire, with plenty of wildlife to see and farm animals in the surrounding fields - barn owls, deer, alpacas and miniature Shetland ponies to mention a few!

 

There is plenty to see and do while on holiday here.  The popular market towns of Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside are close by, and the local pub is the Michelin starred The Star at Harome.  Castle Howard and the North York Moors are within 15 minutes drive of the barn; and there is easy access to the Scarborough, Whitby and the Yorkshire coast, as well as to the medieval city of York. 

The local area is very popular with walkers, cyclists and nature lovers; and there are some wonderful roads near by for those who enjoy driving.
